Stevens Institute of Technology — Spring Break in January!

In 2020, like many other college and high school volunteer groups, Stevens Institute saw their plans for an “alternate spring break” fade away due to the Covid-19 coronavirus. Plans for made to return to the Father Beiting Appalachian Mission Center in March of 2021 until the students found out that due to a delayed start of their spring semester 2021, there would be NO SPRING BREAK!

The students of Stevens Institute were not to be deterred!! Their ALTERNATE SPRING BREAK took place in JANUARY 2021! Rather than skip another year of volunteering at FBAMC, the students decided to come down during January before their spring semester started. The team assisted in repairing and improving the volunteer quarters at the lower Padres Place by laying new flooring and installing sheet rock on the ceiling. The volunteers quarters will be a much more comfortable place for the volunteer groups that come in 2021 thanks to the Stevens Institute team that decided that January is not too soon for a SPRING BREAK!
